Free soccer clinics for kids across the Des Moines metro — open to any youth player, regardless of background or ability to pay. No cost. No barriers. Just the game.

Separate registered nonprofit. Funds and runs the clinics, scholarships, and community programming.
These free youth clinics are a program of Rising Roots Initiative, a separate, fully recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded alongside Capital City Roots FC. CCRFC coaches and players show up on the field — RRI funds the program and makes it free for every family, regardless of financial circumstance. Two organizations, one mission: remove barriers to the game.
Clinic Dates
Split into two groups — 5–8 and 9–13 — open to all skill levels, first touch to travel team.
No registration fee, no equipment fee. Loaner gear available for players who need it.
Every clinic happens right at that match’s venue — Trailridge School for the September matches, Waukee High School Stadium for October and November.
Coached by Capital City Roots FC staff and players. Check-in opens 3:15 PM, clinic runs 3:30–4:15 PM, ahead of every 5:00 PM kickoff.
