Roots Honor List

Every player and staff member who completed a season in the crest belongs here. This page is not a roster. It is the record. A club crest next to a player’s name marks where the Roots platform took them next.

Spring 2026 showed what the platform is built to do. The Roots faced USL League Two side Des Moines Menace in the Menace’s season-opening friendly. The team did not play to its standard, but individual players were noticed. A second, closed-door midseason scrimmage deepened that connection, and Ephraim Lunganga and Grady Walston were invited to move up to the Menace. The Roots finished league play 4-2-4, closing with a 4-5 loss at Bana Mboka, a 2-1 win over Super Stars, and a 4-3 win over Sioux Falls Thunder. A four-way tie for sixth was decided by secondary tiebreak criteria, leaving the Roots outside the playoffs.

Capital City Roots FC’s inaugural Fall 2025 season ended with a UPSL Premier Division playoff berth. In Matchweek 10, the Roots traveled to Kansas City and lost 3-2 to KC Ryogoku Academy on November 15, 2025. One week later, the Roots returned to Kansas City for the first round of the playoffs and fell 4-3 to Ryogoku on November 22. Every name below helped establish the standard and prove the club could compete from its first season.
