ROOTS RUN WILD ON MOTHER’S DAY — 7-0 OVER GARWO UNITED FC
Home — Roots 7 · 0 Garwo United FC — Final
Capital City Roots FC delivered one of their most complete performances of the Spring 2026 season on Sunday night, dismantling Garwo United FC 7-0 in front of a home crowd that had plenty of reasons to celebrate. Seven scorers. A clean sheet. And flowers at the gate for every mother who walked in.
It was that kind of night.

Junior Aguilar #10 got things started in the 9th minute, setting the tone early and letting Garwo know exactly what kind of match this was going to be. Mother’s Day at Cownie
The club honored Mother’s Day in a way that felt right for this community. Every mother who came through the gate on Sunday received flowers. It was a small gesture, but it meant something. This club has always been about more than the 90 minutes, and tonight was a reminder of that.
On the Injury Front
A note on Ephraim Lunganga #24, who sustained an injury during last Saturday’s friendly against the Des Moines Menace. The club is continuing to monitor the situation closely and will provide updates as they become available. We are with him every step of the way.
